Drupal won The Best PHP Open Source CMS Award 2008 and Joomla! and CMS Made Simple tying for the first runner up. The judges were commendatory to Drupal’s excellent installation of the system, modules and updates and especially the way it handles any errors during these processes. Drupal’s strong social applications capabilities and how it integrates seamlessly with content management are also admirable.
